LG NanoCell 8 75

After months of researching television models and OLED vs LED quality, I made a decision to purchase a LG television model as the picture quality is amazing. The LG NanoCell 8 Series 4K LED 75" Television is my first LG product so I was excited to see how well this compared to my existing television.
The LG is a solid television offering however the picture is not as clear and crisp, the immersive picture quality and vibrant colors as I anticipated having looked at multiple LG sets for months. (While this is not an OLED television, I envisioned an improvement over my 2015 4K "top of the line" SUHD competitor television). I am still trying to identify the correct settings for my LG based upon the location in the house, sunlight and other factors. The picture doesn't seem to offer the clarity of 4K I was used to with my old competitor.
The 75 inch screen is awesome for movies, creating a home movie theatre feel and the sense of being right in the action.
The unboxing and assembly was straightforward, taking 20 minutes to complete with instructions that were easy to follow. The television is heavy (almost 90 pounds) so I elected to place on a stand versus wall mounting which has worked out perfectly due to the massive screen size. I thought I would miss the swivel wall mounted convenience and view-ability however I found that the LG's massive size is viewable from most angles.
There are adequate USB (3) and HDMI (4) options on the back of the television to set up additional technology (Blu Ray player, LG sound bar). I did set up the LG 3.1.2 ch Sound Bar with my television which greatly improved the overall sound quality and enhanced the viewing experience.
The remote control has multiple smart buttons (short cuts for paid streaming services, etc) which is nice however I found the remote a little busy at first and easy to press the wrong button while I was getting used to the remote. Now I am able to navigate without issues so I like the convenience of the short cuts. The navigation of channels is super easy with the set-up and location of the icons handy.
Overall, the LG Nano Series 8 is a great television, providing a wonderful entertainment experience.
I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion
